The “Hugz R Free” Initiative
Not only did we want to create a fun and exciting book series for children to enjoy, but we wanted to give back to the global community.
Physical hugs and embracing others with unconditional love improves both mental and physical well-being. With the same philosophy and ethos in mind, we hope through reading and listening to Pablo & Pals, we can accomplish our social entrepreneurship campaign in multiple phases.
Phase I – Pablo’s Green Thumb
Phase II – Ronnie the Rabbit’s Book Donation Drive
We’d also like to share Pablo & Pals’ stories to our community. Once book sales reach $1000, we’ll donate books to local libraries and hospitals to children in need.
Phase III – Bringing Hugz and Color to Life
Pablo & Pals’ author, Ray Zulueta, was born in the Philippines and would like to give back to his hometown of Angeles City.
Once we reach our $2500 goal, he’d like to donate 250 coloring books and boxes of crayons to rural schools in the Philippines.
Phase IV – Gem and Da Jammerz’ Girl Power
Gema and her all-female rock band love singing about girl power and dreaming big.
Once book sales reach $5,000 we’ll create a $500 scholarship for female STEAM student(s) at a local university in the Philippines (TBD).
Phase V – Leni’s Law School Dream
Once book sales reach $10,000, we will offer a $1000 scholarship for a female
CLEO Student entering the first year of law school.
* CLEO is an organization that offers pre-law programs for low-income, and other minority students, to enter the legal profession.
